At the end of March, the number of active sport cards offered by the Benefit Systems Group in Poland exceeded one million (1,032,100 cards, to be exact). At the same time, the number of cards on foreign markets (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Croatia) amounted to 265,100 in total. The increase in the number of MultiSport cards is favoured by the popularity of an active lifestyle, as well as the launch of attractive special projects that enable card users to be active throughout the year.
Benefit Systems financial results in 2018
Along with the report on the number of cards for the first quarter of 2019, Benefit Systems also announced its financial results for the entire 2018. Last year the Group's revenues from the sale of sports cards in Poland amounted to PLN 846.7 million and were 16% higher year on year, while the revenues of the Foreign segment in this period amounted to PLN 218.0 million. The EBITDA of the Benefit Systems Group was PLN 197.9 million, while the net profit per shareholders of the parent company was PLN 114.6 million.
Strengthening the flagship product offer
The Fitness segment, which is fully complementary to the Sports Cards segment and ensures adequate space growth and modern infrastructure through clubs, achieved sales revenues of PLN 247.8 million (an increase of 51.1% year on year). At the end of 2018, the Benefit Systems Group was managing companies operating a total of 144 own clubs throughout the country. These facilities significantly affect the attractiveness of the offer for sports card users.
Personalisation trend good for cafeteria programmes
At the end of December this year, the Cafeteria segment, whose platforms (MultiKafeteria and MyBenefit) enable the distribution of additional non-wage benefits in the area of sport, culture and tourism, including the Benefit Systems Group's own products, noted and increase in the number of users to over 380,000 (+84,400 year on year). MyBenefit and MultiKafeteria's turnover amounted to just over PLN 305 million, which means an increase of over 24% year on year.
